World War II Home Front Museum

Housed in the building and on the grounds of the former Coast Guard station, this museum provides a glimpse of what was how support was provided while the troops were beating back Hitler and Tojo overseas.

The SS Oklahoma and Esso Baton Rouge were sunk twice during the war, the second time after each had been refloated, repaired and launched again.
